So, I decided that I had hacked up my Joomla install badly enough and had worked myself into a tight corner. My options included updating the install {which would destroy all the hacks I inserted in the code} or wipe it out and reinstall. I opted to wipe it out and see what this WordPress business is all about. So far I am really impressed with their building with standards in mind! I started the install this morning and put it on hold for the better part of today and am just wrapping things up now. About 4 or 5 hours invested so far. That’s a bit better than the weeks I spent setting up Joomla {granted I am ripping off someone’s theme and style for now and when I installed Joomla, it was my first dealings with PHP….}. At any rate, I highly recommend it, even to noobs! I have a LOT of tweaks such before the transition is complete, but for one day am I satisfied.
